[2 Min Read] How to manufacture leads that actually want you

Most businesses think lead generation is about volume. Get in front of more people, run more ads, cast a wider net. But volume without intent is just noise. The real skill is manufacturing intent, getting the right people to raise their hand because they actually want what you have. There are three parts to this, and most people only think about one of them.

First: awareness.

You have to meet people where they actually are. If you are a true subject matter expert, you carry a curse, you forget what it was like to not know.

So ask yourself, does your audience even know your solution exists?

Do they know the jargon?

Do they know how to find their way to you?

Or are they completely in the dark, not even sure what to search for?

Your message has to match their level of awareness, otherwise you are speaking a language they do not understand yet.

Second: the offer.

Once they are aware, you have to give them something clear and desirable enough to raise their hand for.

Not vague.

Not clever.

Clear.

If your offer makes someone stop and think, you have already lost them.

The whole point is to make it obvious and easy to say yes, so they step forward and let you solve their problem.

Third: speed and consistency.

This is where most people fall apart.

Someone raises their hand, and then what?

They wait a day.

They wait a week.

They reach out once and disappear.

Here is the truth: if you cannot get to someone quickly during the sale, you will never get to them quickly once they are a customer.

Speed is a promise.

So treat your sales process like fulfillment.

Be the concierge. Get there fast, stay in front of them, and give them a great experience from the very first touch.

Because at the end of the day, we are not here to close deals. We are here to solve problems and help people get outcomes. Sales is just the first act of service.
